Privacy

Setlist is run by Blackdogranch LLC for a small invited group. It is not advertising-funded and there is nothing to sell, so the short version is that it stores what it needs to work and nothing else.

What is stored

Your Google account identifier, email address and display name, which arrive from home.blackdogranch.com when you sign in. The names and descriptions of your Apple Music playlists, the moods you create, and which playlists you put in which mood. An access token for your Apple Music account, so playlists can be read and created on your behalf.

Connection keys are stored only as a SHA-256 hash. The key itself is shown once, when you create it, and cannot be recovered afterwards — not by you and not by us.

What is not stored

Your Apple ID password, your payment details, and your listening history. Setlist never sees any of those. Song-level data is not stored at all: a mood is a set of playlist names.

Who sees it

Nobody outside Blackdogranch LLC, and no third-party analytics or advertising service. Exactly one page loads a script from somebody else: the Connect Apple Music page loads Apple's own MusicKit, because Apple — not us — has to be the one collecting your Apple ID. Every other page loads only its own files. Requests go to Apple Music on your behalf when you reload playlists or create one, and to nowhere else.

An AI you connect sees what you granted it: your moods and the playlists in them. It is your choice which AI gets a key, and revoking one takes effect immediately.

Deleting it

Disconnecting Apple Music removes the stored access token. Ask at support@blackdogranch.com to have the account and everything attached to it deleted, and it will be.
